Gene Editing and Microbiome
This session covers two emerging topics; gene editing and the microbiome. For the human microbiome, our understanding of the this ‘organ’ and its importance to health has thus far only scratched the surface, but the ever-developing science around this field promises exciting applications in food, medicine, personal care, and more. Nations and researchers with a rich tradition in fermentation and microbe manipulation—through traditional or genetic editing—are well placed to take a leading role in furthering the science—and unlocking the mysteries—of the human microbiome. Join us in this session on a journey of discovery as our expert speakers dive deep into these two fields.
