Throughout her 24-year GE/GE HealthCare career, Yommei has driven strategic breakthroughs with measurable impact. She spearheaded GE HealthCare’s 2023 landmark joint venture with Sinopharm, cementing its China localization strategy and earning her recognition as one of Fortune China’s Most influential Business Women.
Earlier, as founding CEO of GE Capital – State Grid JV (2011-2016), she scaled a greenfield venture into China’s premier infrastructure financier, achieving $1.5Bn AUM and sustained return over her five-year tenure. From 2017 to 2019, as Greater China CEO of GE Industrial Finance, she redesigned captive financing frameworks that catalyzed GE Industrial equipment sales. Transitioning to Healthcare, her leadership of GE HealthCare Financial Services across China and APAC drove organic growth through innovative financing solutions and capital markets partnership. As GE HealthCare’s China BD head during its global corporate spinoff, she led the China component of its 2023 Nasdaq IPO.

By 2025, the world is expected to generate more than 180 zettabytes of data, with more than one-third projected to originate from healthcare. 90% of healthcare date stems from imaging technology. Hospitals store hundreds of millions of digital images, and their number are growing as imaging scanners such as MRIs and CTs become better at capturing thinner and thinner slices of the body, and as 3D and 4D imaging become the norm. However, only half the healthcare industry uses cloud services to manage date effectively, lagging behind music and e-commerce in AI adoption where AI handles big datasets well. Precision care is enabled by GE Healthcare’s D3 framework (Disease, Devices and Digital), which offers comprehensive portfolio solutions even before a patient first starts showing symptoms, to diagnosis and treatment - all the way through intelligent monitoring.
