Dr. Liu brings over 30 years of experience in product development, process engineering, and manufacturing across the biotechnology, pharmaceutical, and specialty chemical industries. Since 2024, he has served as Chairman of the Taiwan Bio Industry Organization. He is also the Founder, Chairman, and President of EirGenix, a leading biopharmaceutical company in Taiwan.
 
Before founding EirGenix and returning to Taiwan, Dr. Liu was President and Chief Operating Officer of AnGes Inc., a late-stage biotechnology company. He initially joined AnGes in 2002 as Vice President of Product Management and later served as Vice Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Avontec GmbH, a Munich-based joint venture with AnGes, from 2004 to 2010.
 
Earlier in his career, Dr. Liu held a series of leadership and technical roles in product and process development at GenVec, Novartis, W.R. Grace & Co., and Halcon SD.
 
Dr. Liu earned his Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering and Applied Chemistry from Columbia University and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from National Taiwan University.
