Dr. Pinaki Bose is an Associate Professor in the Departments of Oncology, Biochemistry and Molecular Biology and Pathology and Lab Medicine at the University of Calgary. Dr. Bose serves in several leadership roles within the Cumming School of Medicine and Arnie Charbonneau Cancer Institute. He is the Scientific Lead for the Precision Oncology and Experimental Therapeutics (POET) program, Director of Tumour Biology and Translational Research for the Ohlson Research Initiative (ORI) and Scientific Lead for the Calgary Global Medical Education (CGME) program.


The Bose Lab investigates the biology of multiple cancer types including head and neck cancers and glioblastoma, with a particular focus on prognostic and predictive biomarker development and immuno-oncology. We use cutting-edge omics/bioinfortmatics and functional approaches to investigate drivers of metastasis, immune evasion and immunotherapy resistance.
 
Beyond academia, Dr. Bose is the co-founder and Executive Vice-President of OncoHelix Inc., a leading Canadian precision diagnostics company providing specialized cancer genomics and immunology testing. OncoHelix maintains diagnostic operations across Canada and has recently entered the UAE market with its first international lab in Abu Dhabi.
