​​Dr. Chien-Huang Lin has been serving as the President of Taipei Medical University since 2017. Currently, he is also a professor at Graduate Institute of Medical Science, TMU; board member of National Applied Research Laboratories, Foundation for International Cooperation in Higher Education of Taiwan, and Center of Drug Evaluation; director of Association of Private Universities and Colleges, and Institute for Biotechnology & Medicine Industry to name a few. 

President Lin has devoted himself to teaching, researching and administrative work for more than twenty years. Under his leadership, Taipei Medical University has successfully transformed into an innovative university centered on medical education with 6 affiliated hospitals, 1 holding company, and 6 university-owned spin-off companies. The overall revenue is up to 2.4 billion per year. 
In addition, President Lin has always attached great importance to interdisciplinary capability, entrepreneurship spirit, and sustainability development. The launch of Shuang-Ho Biotech Park and the establishment of TMU Biomed Accelerator were part of his vision of incorporating university resources with affiliated hospitals to elevate industry innovation, gear to the global conventions and cultivate talents. 
President Lin received his B.A. in pharmacy from Taipei Medical University in 1989, Ph. D in pharmacology from National Taiwan University in 1994, and later an EMBA degree from National Taiwan University in 2012. As a TMU member for more than twenty years, he has been serving respectively as Dean of R&D, Dean of Academic Affairs, Chief Secretary and Vice President of TMU. 
His research interests include translational research in pulmonary fibrosis, specifically in mechanism of connective tissue growth factor (CTGF) expression in lung diseases as well as the role of fibrocytes in pathogenesis of pulmonary fibrosis. Over the years, Prof. Lin has published more than 120 articles in internationally renowned journals such as Am. J. Respir. Crit. Care Med., J. Biol. Chem., and J. Immunol. etc.
