Jane Liu

Founder and Chairwoman
New Deantronics Taiwan Ltd

Jane founded New Deantronics in South San Francisco in 1985.  It soon became apparent that the future for New Deantronics would necessitate having a dedicated manufacturing operation in Taiwan.  Therefore, she returned to Taiwan in 1987 to establish New Deantronics Taiwan.  Although there were some women in business leadership positions at that time, few were brave enough to enter the manufacturing arena.  She forged ahead to build a dedicated medical device development and manufacturing company.
Under her leadership, New Deantronics has grown into a multi-faceted, Multi-national Corporation, with operations in Taiwan, Europe and the United States. Today, New Deantronics has grown to a company of nearly 1,000 people, occupying a modern 250,000 sq. ft. facility in New Taipei City.  In 2019 an additional facility with EO sterilization services in Chiayi, Sothern Taiwan was completed.  A new R&D, Manufacturing, and Incubation Center for the U.S was also completed in 2022.  With three locations across two continents, ND now has a total of 900,000 sq. ft. of capacity.
In 2015 Jane reached another milestone with the formation of ForMED Ventures and TAI-Tech Ventures, to realize her vision of helping medical device startup companies.  ForMED is focused on early stage medical device companies in the United States and Israel.  TAI-Tech is focused on early stage medical device companies in Taiwan.  Both ventures assist these typically small startups through their early stages and via collaboration with New Deantronics, to help accelerate their development.
Jane holds a BA in Law from Fu Jen University, and an MBA from the University of San Francisco.  She is an active member of APEC, and numerous Business Leadership Organizations in Taiwan.  She also actively participates in philanthropic activities in Taiwan, contributing more than 20M NTD to local hospitals, and more than 1M NTD to local charities.
