Speech title & Synopsis

Innovation: The Essential Ingredients of Competitiveness

Technology is not enough to bring a Medical Device into the Surgical Suite. Medical Devices are the extension of the people who make up the Surgical Care team. At Ethicon, we believe it takes a cross-functional, human-centered process to create solutions that enable care teams to achieve better patient outcomes. In this talk our Vice Presidents of R&D and Supply Chain will show you how putting the needs of patients & care teams first is paramount to uncovering quality solutions. Using examples from a device in market, you’ll learn how teams identified a need, imagined possibilities, built, and tested ideas with end users, then delivered a device that upholds our promise; to Reimagine How We Heal.
