Nitin Sisodia is the Fellowship Director for the School of International Biodesign program, New Delhi, India.
Nitin is a National Awardee from the President of India for innovation and technology. Nitin is also founderof Sohum Innovation Lab, a social enterprise to develop novel solutions to improve health & income of people living in underserved regions. He is a 2010 Stanford India Biodesign fellow. In 2013, he was named as one of the top 20 Indian innovators by MIT Tech Review. He received NASSCOM ICT led healthcare innovation award, Indian Merchant Chamber Inclusive Innovation award & the Sankalp India award. He has received grants including the Grand challenges Canada Star in Global Health, Center for Innovation in Global Health award, BIRAC- Biotechnology Ignition Grant & Siemens grant for his work to develop an innovative hearing screening device for newborns.
He designed cars for Indian and Japanese market with Maruti- Suzuki. Nitin is a Mathematics Olympiad awardee, wrote two books on mathematics that simplifies and explain complex concepts of advanced mathematics. He is an innovation consultant to Zeiss, a Germany based precision optics manufacturer to make vision care solutions reach under-served regions in India and also worked with McKinsey as an innovation consultant.
