Brief Description of main products or services

The number of older people, including those living with neurological disorders, is rising. According to the latest research by Lancet, early intervention with nutrition could prevent or delay neurodegenerative diseases. Hence, Grape King Bio has developed the world’s first erinacine A-enriched Hericium erinaceus (EAHE) mycelia product that holds promise for the prevention of dementia. We are the first group to demonstrate that after the intervention of EAHE mycelia for 49 weeks in a pilot double-blind placebo-controlled study, patients with mild Alzheimer’s Disease showed higher cognitive abilities when compared to the control group. Moreover, in another double-blind placebo-controlled study, we are also the first group to show that treatment of EAHE mycelia for 8 months could significantly improve hearing impairment, especially in patients greater than 65 years old. The underlying mechanism of our product is due to the induction of erinacine A within the mycelia (5 mg/g) and its ability to stimulate nerve growth factors to rescue neurons from cell death. In fact, after performing numerous animal models with a variety of age-related neurodegenerative conditions including aging, ischemic stroke, Parkinson’s Disease, Alzheimer’s Disease, depression, demyelination neuropathic pain, peripheral neuropathy and drug addiction, we see shed light on these neurodegenerative diseases progressions.
