Jointly organized by the global Biotechnology Innovation Organization (BIO) and the Taiwan Bio Industry Organization (Taiwan BIO), the BIO Asia–Taiwan International Conference and Exhibition was held for the first time in 2019. This annual gathering recognizes Asia as a region of growing importance within the industry, and celebrates Taiwan’s standing as a leading biotechnology hub.
BIO Asia–Taiwan 2026 will be held July 15-19 at the TaiNEX 1 & 2 halls, Nangang Exhibition Center, Taipei. The event brings together bioindustry executives and investors from North America, Europe and Asia to explore business opportunities and to engage with Taiwan's growing biotech sector. The five-day gathering includes a three-day conference featuring 250+ internationally-renowned speakers, company presentations from Asia and around the world, BIO Partnering™ meetings, a full program of symposia and workshops, and an international exhibition.
The theme of BIO Asia–Taiwan 2026 is Asian Inspiration, Global Impact, reflecting the inspiration and innovation behind the recent wave of Asian biotechnology success stories, and the subsequent impact of these successes upon the global stage.
This event is notably hosted in Taiwan, recognized worldwide for its ICT industries, now with fast-growing, innovation-driven biotech and medtech sectors, and promises attendees a diverse range of seminars, panel discussions, and satellite symposia on industry-critical, cutting-edge topics, along with networking opportunities with high-quality companies and solution providers. The Conference includes five elements – the Innovation Forum, the Investment Summit, the Regional Collaboration Forum, Company Presentations, and Satellite Symposia.
BIO Asia–Taiwan 2026 will again feature the BIO Partnering™ platform, an easy-to-use online meeting scheduling system to search for and identify potential partners, collaborators, investors and in- and out-licensing opportunities. Face-to-face meetings will be held over private and secure video links 24 hours a day during the event period. With over 8,800+ meeting requests to 500+ partnering companies made during BIO Asia–Taiwan 2025, a new record in meetings scheduled, partnering is again expected to be hugely popular. Registration will open in March and the BIO Partnering™ system will open in June.
Overall participation in BIO Asia–Taiwan 2025 was strong, including 3,000+ conference registrants and over 140,000 exhibition visits. The week-long gathering also featured 7 Regional Collaboration Forums, 13 Satellite Symposia, 2 Demo Days, 2 Site Visit Programs, and attracted attendees from 58 countries. A particular highlight was the Investment Summit, featuring 45 pitching companies and 100+ international investors, double that of 2024. And we expect the 2026 gathering to top even these impressive numbers!
BIO Asia–Taiwan 2026 will showcase Taiwan's growing digital advantage in this sector and highlight advances in biotech, pharmaceutical, medical devices, precision medicine, AI applications, ICT, IoT technologies, and new healthcare/medical investment opportunities. And don’t forget, winners of the annual Taiwan BIO Awards and the BIO Asia Award, will be recognized in special ceremonies during BIO Asia–Taiwan 2026.
