Dr. Ching-Chang Lien is currently the Director General of the Industrial Development Bureau (IDB) of the Ministry of Economic Affairs (MOEA). He obtained the Ph.D. degree in the Department of Forestry (Resource Economics) of National Taiwan University. He used to be the Director General of the Bureau of Specifications, Metrology and Inspections (BSMI), MOEA and the Counselor and Vice Executive Secretary/Acting Executive Secretary of the Office of the Board of Science and Technology (BOST), Executive Yuan. He also used to serve in the IDB for many years. He served as the Senior Executive Officer of the Consumer Goods & Chemical Industries Division, Deputy Director/Director of the Industrial Policy Division, Director of the Sustainable Development Division, Secretary General, and Deputy Director General. He has complete working experience in IDB in leading colleagues to promote Taiwan's industrial innovation, upgrading and transformation, to actively coaching manufacturers to strengthen their business capability, and to assist companies in responding to changing environment to improve productivity and global competitiveness.
