Ms. Chen is the Deputy Director General of Taiwan Industrial Development Bureau (IDB), MOEA. The IDB is in charge of the task of industrial development in Taiwan which formulates industrial development policies, promotes and implements industrial programs, develops industrial parks and oversees industry administrative affairs management.
Previously, she had 15 years experiences on industrial international affairs such as WTO, APEC, OECD and bilateral trade agreement negotiation in IDB.
Before Ms. Chen was appointed as the Deputy Director General of IDB in 2021, served as the secretary General of IDB in 2017~2020,she also served as the Deputy Director General of Department of Investment Service (DOIS), Ministry of Economic Affairs, and was responsible for inbound and outbound investment promotion, investment barriers removal and overseas talents recruitment.
Ms. Chen also worked as the Senior Executive Officer in Department of Foresight and Innovation Policies, Ministry of Science and Technology and was in charge of technology management and S&T policies in 2014 and 2015.
Ms. Chen joined IDB as an Engineer in 1999. She graduated from the National Taiwan University with a MA of Political Science and majored in public administration.
