About the Company

ReSymmetry's founder and CEO is an Occupational Therapist with vast experience and expertise in adapting rehabilitation devices to people with disabilities. Her deep understanding of the human body and  her thorough knowledge in ergonomics,  encountering  daily the pain caused by prolonged sitting, led her to develop ReSymmetry's solution: An AI-based robotic seating system that continuously evaluates the quality of sitting, collects data from sensors embedded in chairs, (office to wheelchairs), adjusting  the sitting positions to match each person’s personal posture, helping to avoid  the damage caused by prolonged sitting. ReSymmetry's team has a broad experience in research and development, engineering, technology, and business.

Brief Description of main products or services

Everyone has unique postural needs. Prolonged sitting causes damages to our body and effect our health and well-being (e.g. Lower back pain).

ReSymmetry's Robotic Seating System integrates science into sitting postures. It is designed to continuously evaluate the quality of  sitting, collects data from embedded sensors in real time and proactively adjusts the sitting postures to match the personalized need. The constant movement and changes of postures transforms static sitting into active and improves the health and well-being of the user.

Resymmetry's solution can help:

People who live a sedentary lifestyle, working at the office as well as  an elderly person spending days sitting at home

Or

People and children with disabilities and limited mobility that sit in a wheelchair and have a prolonged motionless sitting lifestyle

ReSymmetry completed a pilot study with a 4 years old child with Cerebral palsy, showing remarkable outcomes. We managed to prove the clinical assumption that sitting in different postures and integration of movement have a powerful effect on the core muscles.
