About the Company

SFP bio-seeker is a biomedical research team of School of Medicine at I-Shou University from Taiwan. Our mission is to conquer cancer with the convergence of Bio & Engineering technologies. We create innovative saccharide-based fluorescent probes (SFPs) by expanding applications in cell biology for researchers in academia, small biotech, and pharma companies. SFP is leveraging this experience into developing IVD and in vivo products for Oncology. We have developed our own SFP reagent kit for the enrichment of Circulating Tumor Cells (CTCs) and angiography. By using biocompatible SFPs, we are performing various applications, such as CTC detection & counting, minimal residual detection for various cancer, genetic/genomic/ RNA analysis of CTC, CTC culturing, etc.

Brief Description of main products or services

Our innovative fluorescent saccharide-based probe (SFP) reagent is obtained from amino sugar compounds to track and monitor cells in real time. Cancerous, damaged and healthy cells absorb the saccharide-based fluorescent probe (SFP) to varying extends due to intrinsic differences between the cell types. Within two hours, several types of circulating tumour cells can be identified and/or information relating to changes in viability of living cells will be obtained. Our SFP Fluorescent Detection System can be used for Cancer diagnosis, fluorescent guide tumour margining, micro-organisms detection, and enrichment of circulating or body fluid cancer cells for drug efficacy studies and precision medicine.

The SFP detection system has the following advantages:

  • Fast: results available in one hour;
  • Low-cost and easy to operate: compound synthesis and imaging use standard, low-cost techniques;
  • Biocompatible: not toxic to cells.
  • Versatile: cells kept alive during imaging allowing for applications in drug screening and precision medicine.
