Dr. Jou-Wei Lin is a cardiologist at National Taiwan University Hospital Yunlin Branch. As a graduate from Harvard School of Public Health and Department of Bioinformatics of Columbia University, his main research topics include the application of various analytic tools to the evaluation of cardiovascular interventions. He has been applying information technology to cardiovascular care: developing a decision support system to facilitate preventive care, using natural language processing tools to extract quality of care measures, and formulating biological models to understand the pathophysiology of cardiovascular diseases. His expertise bridges the gap between information technology and cardiovascular medicine.
