The first step of providing better care for geriatrics is to be able to transparently capture their daily activities and assess their short-term and long-term health impacts, in a way that does not require wearing sensors and respects personal privacy. In this talk, I will present the AMIBO companion robot that we are currently working on and that aims to answer questions such as “sleep well?”, “eat well?”, “feel good?” and “exercise enough?” questions for seniors living alone, in a way that is both accurate and completely un-intrusive.
