Dr. Hsu is an attending physician in the Department of Neurology, specializing in the treatment of dementia, stroke, and sleep disorders. After graduating from the Department of Medicine at National Taiwan University, he dedicated himself to the interdisciplinary integration of medicine and engineering. In engineering, he earned a PhD in chemical engineering and a master's degree in electrical engineering from National Chung Cheng University.
From 2018 to 2020, he worked as a researcher in the Information and Bioinformatics Department of the National Institute of Neurology and Stroke at the National Institutes of Health. He has expertise in artificial intelligence, systems biology, biomedical signal processing, and bioinformatics.
Dr. Hsu has extensive practical experience in medical assistive intelligence, combining clinical knowledge with assistive intelligence technology to enhance the application of AI in clinical medicine. From 2020 to 2023, he served as the director of the Assisted Intelligence Center at China Medical University Affiliated Hospital, leading the center in developing AI tools, implementing them in clinical use, and obtaining TFDA smart medical material certification. He has published multiple academic papers on medical artificial intelligence.
In 2024, Dr. Hsu joined the Industrial Technology Research Institute to further conduct artificial intelligence research in the health and medical industry, focusing on the application of AI in medical imaging, biomedical signals, electronic medical records, and bioinformatics.
