Mr. Takeshi Yamamoto currently serves as Deputy General Manager of the Life Science Strategy Headquarters and General Manager of the Bioscience and Engineering Research Laboratories at Fujifilm Corporation. Responsible for strategic technology development through Fujifilm Life Sciences Group companies over the world.  Fujifilm's life science business portfolio widely consists of CDMO/CRO, life science materials such as media, cells and culture reagents, and therapeutic drugs.

Prior to his current role, he served as CEO and Director of R&D organization at Fujifilm Cellular Dynamics in Madison, Wisconsin, USA for three years starting in 2019. The company is known for its iPSC technology and offers a variety of iPSC-derived cell types for the discovery research market. In cell therapy applications, he succeeded several pipelines moved forward to advance clinical trials by partnering with pharma companies.

His science background is in biochemical engineering, and he received a master's degree from Hokkaido University. Due to the company's business transformation around 2010, he was assigned to the life science business field and gained deep experience in antibody production technology, from cell lines and culture medium to cell proliferation processes, with a focus on perfusion culture systems. The continuous production platform is one of what Fujifilm provides to customers for industrialization.
