Dr. Jason D. Hipp received BS in Biology from University California of San Diego in 2000.  He received MD/PhD from Wake Forest University School of Medicine in 2007.  After clinical training in pathology at National Cancer Institute, he served as Pathology Informatics Fellow at University of Michigan, Ann Arbor and Rabson Fellow at NCI, NIH to initiate and co-lead the Laboratory of Pathology working group.  He has also co-led integration of Definiens into AstraZeneca’s Translational Medicine Program, devised and piloted identification of HER2 low patients from pathology images, showcasing a clear ability to drive innovation with the use of novel AI.
Holding professional license to practice medicine and being board certified in anatomic pathology in US, Jason has served as an advisor for College of American Pathologists (CAP) for many years, and he has also helped FDA to develop, troubleshoot, evaluate, and polish a platform for validation studies of digital and analog pathology.  In addition to abundant academic research achievements, Jason has been inventors of major patents including “Similar Medical Image Search”, “Augmented Reality Laser Capture Dissection Machine”, “A Digital Pathology Ecosystem for AR/VR”.  
With a background spanning pathology, informatics and medical innovation at Mayo Clinic, AstraZeneca, Alphabet (Google and Verily Life Science), and Bristol-Myers Squibb, Dr. Jason D. Hipp has pioneered advanced pathology initiatives and AI solutions.  He is a visionary leader, with proven skills in team-building, innovative strategy and driving change.  He is also recognized as a key contributor to influential publications and for speaking at international conferences on the topic of shaping the future of digital diagnostics.  His unique blend of academic excellence, technical and AI expertise, visionary thinking, and experience in innovation makes him an ideal leader for an organization seeking transformation at the intersection of medicine and technology.
