Dr. Wu has been the President of Development Center for Biotechnology and the Director of Biotechnology and Pharmaceutical Industries Promotion Office (BPIPO), Ministry of Economic Affair, Taiwan since 2018. He is also an entrepreneur and an expert in biologics, including recombinant proteins, vaccines, and therapeutic antibodies. Additionally, he was an associate professor of the Institute of Molecular Medicine, National Taiwan University, 1995 through 2000 and co-founded in 2000 AbGenomics Corp., a biotech company specializing in development of therapeutic antibodies.
Over the past 20 years, he has produced over 30 publications in peer-reviewed scientific journals and been granted 8 international patents, of which all were out-licensed for commercial applications. Dr. Wu received his Ph.D. in Biological Chemistry from University of Maryland at Baltimore and was a Jane Coffin Childs Memorial Fund Fellow in the Department of Embryology, Carnegie Institution of Washington.
