Dr. Yamanaka is a Japanese scientist who works as the director emeritus / professor of the Center for iPS Cell Research and Application (CiRA), Kyoto University and the representative director of the CiRA Foundation.
He is also well known as the Nobel Prize winner in Physiology or Medicine in 2012 for successfully reprogramming skin cells and creating iPS cells.
The CiRA Foundation is an offshoot of the the Center for iPS Cell Research and Application (CiRA), Kyoto University and is taking control of CiRA's management of iPS cells, including manufacturing and quality control, acting as a bridge for the transfer of iPS cells to industry.
Today, I would like to introduce our recent activities and the progress of "my iPS project".
