Andrew Wong is Vice President, Early Innovation Partnering for Johnson & Johnson Innovation, Asia Pacific.

Andrew leads the J&J Innovation Asia Pacific’s early innovation partnering workforce, which manages the early-stage business development sourcing, transactions and collaboration management activities in the region across Johnson & Johnson’s three business sectors. 

The team identifies, structures, negotiates and executes partnerships with a diverse set of partners, including biotech companies, venture capital firms, nonprofit organizations, governments, and academic institutions.

Andrew has over 25 years of life science-related business development and finance experience. Prior to joining Johnson & Johnson Innovation, Andrew was Senior Vice President, Corporate Business Development at Auransa Inc., a leading venture-backed precision medicine biopharmaceutical company.  Andrew also previously worked for SciClone Pharmaceuticals as the Vice President, Business Development.  Before this, Andrew took roles at Alexza Pharmaceuticals, ProQuest Investments, Lehman Brothers, Dendreon Corporation, and LifeScience Economics with various responsibilities from Head of Corporate Development to Senior Equity Research and Senior Business Development Analyst. 

Andrew also was a Research Assistant at Stanford Medical School. Andrew holds an MBA from the Wharton School at University of Pennsylvania and a B.A. in biology from Occidental College.
