850 companies from 19 countries to exhibit at one of the world’s largest biotech gatherings
Event expanded with dual Demo Days to spark global collaboration opportunities

The premier annual event for Asia’s biotech industry, BIO Asia–Taiwan 2025, will take place from July 23 to 27 at the Taipei Nangang Exhibition Center, TaiNEX 1 and 2, with the theme “Next Wave of Biotech Opportunities”, highlighting innovations and exciting new opportunities emerging in this sector.
Building on last year’s success with three major forums; the Innovation Forum, the Investment Summit, and the Regional Collaboration Forum series, as well as four key events including the Exhibition, One-on-One Partnering, Company Presentations, and Seminars, this year’s edition adds two new highlights: the National Biotechnology Research Park Demo Day and the TMU×BE×SCHS Demo Day. The gathering will now span nine days over three weeks, marking its largest scale ever.
The Exhibition to be held on floors 1 and 4 of TaiNEX 1, and will be organized into 23 themed zones covering the full biomedical industry value chain. With 850 companies from 19 countries across 2,200+ booths, the gathering is expected to attract visiting biotech professionals from more than 50 countries, making it Asia’s most expansive platform for biotech exchange and collaboration.
This year features exhibitors from 19 countries including the United States, Switzerland, Japan, Australia, Belgium, India, Poland, Austria, the Philippines, and Thailand, making up 12 national pavilions. Companies from the UK, China, South Korea, Malaysia, Singapore, Italy, and others will also be exhibiting.
Industry leaders such as Taiwan’s PharmaEssentia, Bora Pharmaceuticals, Taimed Biologics, EirGenix, Foresee Pharmaceuticals, Formosa Laboratories, Alar Pharmaceuticals, EverFortune.ai, and Mycenax, as well as major overseas companies such as Merck, FUJIFILM, Cytiva, BD, Charles River, Lonza, Labcorp, and more will be showcasing their latest innovations, offering a comprehensive view of cutting-edge technologies and market trends in global biotech.
In addition, eight government pavilions including those from the Ministry of Economic Affairs, Ministry of Health and Welfare, National Science and Technology Council, National Health Research Institutes, will exhibit. Ten top academic and research institutions, including China Medical University, National Cheng Kung University, National Tsing Hua University, National Taiwan University, Taipei Medical University, and National Taipei University of Technology, will be showcasing their latest innovations.
 
Exhibition to feature three industry spotlight Zones: CDMO, Biopharma and Medtech, Cell and Regenerative Therapies
The exhibition this year features three key themed Zones: CDMO, Biopharma and Medtech, and Cell and Regenerative Therapies.
The CDMO (Contract Development and Manufacturing Organization) Zone brings together leading local and international contract manufacturers, including Taiwan’s own Bora Pharmaceuticals, EirGenix, TBMC, Formosa Laboratories, Taimed Biologics, Mycenax, Formosa Pharmaceuticals, Genovior Biotech, Amaran Biotech, UBI Pharma, Zillion Fine Chemicals Int’l, and the Taiwan CDMO Alliance, showcasing advanced technologies and production capabilities.
The Biopharma & Medtech Zone features major players such as PharmaEssentia, MycoMagic Biotechnology, Golden Biotechnology, Foresee Pharmaceuticals, Wendy International, Orient EuroPharma, Orient Pharma, and APRINOIA Therapeutics, presenting the latest in drug and device R&D.
The Cell and Regenerative Therapies Zone brings together ChainHome Biotech, Integrated Bio, Level Biotechnology, Mitek Lab, Han Biomedical, Cold Spring Biotech, and others, displaying cutting-edge therapies and promising applications.
Together, these three zones spotlight Taiwan’s biotech strengths and present new opportunities for international partnerships and innovation.
 
Over 400 global companies join partnering program, with over 8,000 meetings expected
Business matchmaking is a signature feature of BIO Asia–Taiwan­, and this year is no exception, with more than 400 companies from 29 countries participating, with a record 8,000 partnering meetings anticipated. In addition, countries such as Australia, the US, Canada, and Belgium will host their own regional forums and business meetings to explore collaborations with Taiwan’s thriving biomedical sector. And for the first time, Taiwan’s TAITRA will also host a Medical Device & Health/Beauty Business Forum during BIO Asia–Taiwan 2025 to further expand international collaboration opportunities.
 
30 companies to pitch at the Investment Forum
As M&A continues to shape global biotech, the July 23–24 Investment Forum invites senior executives from global VC firms to explore acquisition strategies and licensing trends. The Forum will feature investment pitches from 30 outstanding companies, with presentation topics including cell/gene therapy, drug development applications, oncology clinical trials and diagnostics, government and academic innovations, and novel raw material applications, showcasing Taiwan’s full spectrum of biotech R&D and clinical strengths.
In addition, from July 24–26, a special program of innovation presentations will be given by 40 select exhibitors.
 
World-Class forums, international speakers, global exchange
BIO Asia–Taiwan 2025 will be held July 23–27 at Taipei Nangang Exhibition Center, TaiNEX 1 and 2. Conference forums will explore leading biotech trends and cutting-edge technologies, and will feature major international speakers.
Highlights include George Hara, UN ambassador, impact investor, and recipient of the 2024 BIO Asia Award, who will discuss how biotech drives economic growth and social value; and David Flores, President of BioCentury, who will analyze market strategies and investment trends in biotech.
