Jointly organized by the global Biotechnology Innovation Organization (BIO) and the Taiwan Bio Industry Organization (Taiwan BIO), the BIO Asia–Taiwan International Conference and Exhibition was held for the first time in 2019. This annual gathering recognizes Asia as a region of growing importance within the industry, and celebrates Taiwan’s standing as a leading biotechnology hub.

BIO Asia–Taiwan 2025 will be held July 23-27 at the TaiNEX 1 & 2 halls, Nangang Exhibition Center, Taipei. The event brings together bioindustry executives and investors from North America, Europe and Asia to explore business opportunities and to engage with Taiwan's emerging biotech sector. The five-day gathering includes a three-day conference featuring internationally-renowned speakers, company presentations from Asia and around the world, BIO Partnering™ meetings, a full program of focus symposia and workshops, and an international exhibition. Participation in 2024 was strong, including 2,200+ conference and 130,000+ exhibition visits.
The theme of BIO Asia–Taiwan 2025 is Next Wave of Biotech Opportunities, underlining the transformative potential of Asian biotechnology, where the region leads the way in groundbreaking developments and in addressing global challenges. We’re showcasing Asia as both a wave maker and a game changer, driving a new era of innovation and progress.
Featuring the latest advances from the therapeutic, diagnostic, medical equipment, and service sectors, BIO Asia–Taiwan 2025 is notably hosted in Taiwan, recognized worldwide for its ICT industries, now with fast-growing, innovation-driven biotech and medtech sectors. The event promises attendees a diverse range of seminars, panel discussions, and satellite symposia on industry-critical, cutting-edge topics, featuring insights from 150+ renowned speakers, along with networking opportunities with high-quality companies and solution providers. The Conference includes five elements – the Innovation Forum, the Investment Summit, the Regional Collaboration Forum, Company Presentations, and Satellite Symposia.
BIO Asia–Taiwan 2025 will again feature the BIO Partnering™ platform, an easy-to-use online meeting scheduling system to search for and identify potential partners, collaborators, investors and in- and out-licensing opportunities. Face-to-face meetings will be held over private and secure video links 24 hours a day during the event period. With over 8,200+ meeting requests made via the system during BIO Asia–Taiwan 2024, a 66% increase in meetings scheduled over the year before, partnering is again expected to be a hugely popular activity. Registration will open in March and the BIO Partnering™ system will open in June.
BIO Asia–Taiwan 2025 will showcase Taiwan's growing digital advantage in the biomed sector and highlight advances in biotech, pharmaceutical, medical devices, precision medicine, AI applications, ICT, IoT technologies, and new healthcare/medical investment opportunities. And don’t forget, winners of the annual Taiwan BIO Awards, and new last year, the BIO Asia Award, will be recognized in special ceremonies during BIO Asia–Taiwan 2025.
